SEN teaching assistant

Have you ever considered a career in teaching? This is a great opportunity to experience a school in action and gain valuable experience/prepare for teacher training. We are part of the SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) in partnership with the Surrey South Farnham Partnership and can assist and encourage your progression into teaching.

We are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious TAs who have the ability to work as part of a team and want to make a real difference in children’s education. We need TAs to work on both on a 1:1 basis and with small groups supporting the development and education of pupils, including those with special needs. You will have patience and the ability to help a vulnerable child understand the world around them and progress towards their potential. Applicants should have good communication skills and some experience of behaviour management and/or knowledge of ADHD or ASD.

These are term-time only, temporary contract posts as Surrey schools are allocated specific funding for children with an identified special need and it is for this reason this post runs on a temporary contract. The contract runs for as long as we receive SEN funding for the child/ren. The work is across 5 days a week for the whole school day.
